enter at own risk - card

Hi and good morning everyone out there ...

... and again a coworker's birthday ;-) I enjoy making those bespoken cards - and somethimes hiding a little something in them that only I know of *eg* - but I'm also glad that there aren't too many colleagues at my workplace. Otherwise it would be too much for me to enjoy, I think. And I'm a person who can't deny such things too easily.
Anyway ... this is my card for Mr. F :-)

The people who know him will get the little hint in there :-D

The background is made with distress paint and spray made from distress reinkers plus stamps by stampendous, de stempelwinkel (letters) and sin city stamps. The archway is by smeared ink and the man is one of the most gorgeous stamps Brett Weldele designed for stampers anonymous.

Thanks so much for visiting today and having a look.

a bunch of gelli collages

Hi all ...
Seems 'Summer' is over, doesn't it? Yupp, I'm a bit pessimistic on that one.
My little daughter finished her swimming class today with rain and about 16°C - maybe 17°C. Anyway, this is just a quick post to share some collages I made with gelli plate printed paper and fuzzy cut stamp images. You may have seen the one or other but I wanted to collect all of them in one post.

The stamps I used are by de stempelwinkel, artemio, oxford impressions, hampton art, paper artsy, Brett Weldele/stampers anonymous, and viva las vegas stamps.
I made the bookmarks to leave them behind in a small telephone booth library in the area of our local swimmingpool. I hope they'll find new owners who like them a bit :-D

Thank you ever so much for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Assignment #2: Coffee and/or Tea

Hi all ..
Second day of the Summer Challenge 2014 run by De Craftorij.
This time I made two cards for the Summer Challenge 2014 by De Craftorij because I couldn't bring my ideas together on one.
I definitely prefer coffee, btw. I don't like tea at all :-)
For the first card I used the crones tea party image for the first time (although I suspect they don't only have tea *hehe*) - I almost had forgotten about it.
background: the card was misted with water, splodged with distress stain and then I pressed another card onto it. Splatters of water were added, a bit of panpastel und some perfect pearls mist. The stamp images are by: Cherry Pie (full moon, bat, cemetery, tree, sentiment, crones tea party), Oxford Impressions (poppy).

This background is made by spreading acrylic paint over a card with a brayer and a credit card.
bg stamp Tim Holtz and a scribble by Prima Marketing. Woman by hampton arts, hand and hand with handreading signs by de stempelwinkel.
It's great fun so far .-D

Thank you so much for paying a visit to my blog.

more leftovers still ... assembling scraps

Hi all,
I fell ill again - guess it was for too long that I've been well :-( and I'm only able to play around a little with some more scraps I dug up. So I decided to make this a more frequent thing (if not regular) together with those cards I already made now and then for the last weeks.

found: the background with the pattern stamps and the word 'industrial' (some patterned paper, gessoed up and stamped, if I recall correctly), piece of a butterly wing, cut out girl, gelli printed washi tape.
added: the steampunk machine Stempelwinkel image SW R12102, the red gelli collage elements (leftovers from my Mother's day card), the eye (from an I*EA TAG, colored with a wash of acrylic ink).

found:
the background (sprayed with Dylusion sprays, water and a letter stencil), piece of a gelli print, scrap from a die cut TH weathered clock.
added: Stampotique stamp - heat embossed with white ep, scrap is colored with distress stain black soot, Dylusion stamps leaves, words, some of the leaves are colored in slightly with neocolor II wax crayons.

Lia, the kindest and most wonderful owner of the Dutch stamp and mixed media shop de Craftorij and her very busy and creative team have set up a Facebook group some time ago, where the teamies have several mini challenges and other stuff going on. Much worth visiting, I'm highly recommending it.
The second card is for the Tuesday mini (Stampotique) challenge, run by Coby van Willigenburg, which this time is: use just one stencil (and at least one Stampotique image) - it's the letter stencil in the background you can hardly recognise :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look.
Have a good time everyone.

stamped stuff and an altered calendar - very picture-heavy post

Hi all :-)
I'm apologizing in advance because this is going to be - very atypical for me :-D - a picture-heavy post.

First I'm sharing a bunch of cards and a TAG I did last week. Another coworker's birthday is around the corner and after I absolutely didn't have any idea the first day I made four simultaneously and had to concentrate to not mix up my ideas :-) but hey, I think even that would have been interesting.
First up the two blue ones I shared over at de stempelwinkel designteam blog:

And those are the two other cards I made to choose from:

Two cards and a TAG I made and sent off resp. gave away:

another TAG:
and last but not least a calendar I bought the other day - before and after:

Thank you so very much for taking the time for a visit and your patience with all my pics.
I hope you will understand that I don't have the time at the  moment to give the details on each make. If you have a specific question or just want to know how one of these was made please leave me a comment or use my email-address in the profile - thanks so much.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

two cards with gelli plate backgrounds

Hi and hello everyone out there ...
I haven't done much crafting lately for different reasons, but I made two cards with some of my many many gelli prints.
One as an addition for snail-mail I have to send
(stamps by kaisercraft, Dyan Reaveley, acapella stempel)

and one on commission for a coworker I don't really know. Brown, gold, and radio were the hints. Brown doesn't really inspire me and I don't have a radio image either. But someone else told me she (the coworker) also likes all things maritime, so I made this card:

(the wave is from de stempelwinkel, the other stamps by artemio)

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and I hope you're all well ;-)
These days I'll post a small giveaway on occasion of my 100th follower :-D Enormous thanks to all of you who occasionally stop by and give me support.

blue - poems

so far the hints.
I've been asked to make a birthday card for a person I don't know.
The background is made with Dylusion sprays and some inka gold turqoise sponged through a stencil. Then I stamped the script with versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. At last I spritzed a little glimmer mist pearl onto the background.
Stamps are by de stempelwinkel, impressions obsessions, cherry pie

Thank you so very much for your visit.

Tipi card

Hello everyone and good morning. I hope you're all well amidst all the Christmas preparations - well, those of you who do :-)
Again it's my turn to show you a little something on the blog of de stempelwinkel.
This time I made a tipi card – another very versatile card. I often use it when someone asks me for a wedding card or for a childbirth.
I'd love to see you at de Stempelwinkel blog to have a closer look :-)

a Good Bye and legwarmers ;-)

But first of all a big thank you for your well wishes, I'm very grateful.
It's always those winters ....

I made a trishutter card for a coworker who decided to leave us. Not the worst decision, if you ask me, if you can afford it.
Flowers and violet were asked for.

The background is sprayed with dylusion sprays and the stamps I used are by darkroomdoor, art journey and Tim Holtz.

And these are some legwarmers my daughter 1 wished for - well, her wish is my command - sometimes :-)
She also wants a fitting cap (I haven't crocheted for many many years ...) and a scarf (that should be easy :-D)... oh my ... the things we do for our children :-)

Thanks a lot for stopping by, I hope you're all fine.

skulls

two more cards

The background of the first one is a gelli plate print, the second one is made with AAIs. The second one was actually one of the 'flower cards' I tried to make, but I wasn't pleased with it at all. So I changed it :-D
The stamp images are from various companies, haphazardly assembled :-)
Thanks a lot for stopping by, have a great weekend everyone.

if the broom fits, ride it

a card for the challenge over at spooky and scary which is witches.
---------
Diese Karte ist mein Beitrag für die Challenge bei Spooky and Scary: Hexen.

The background is a leftover of a paper I cleaned my brayer off with and the stamps are from various companies.
----
Der HG ist der Rest eines 'Abrollpapiers' von meinen Gelli Drucken und die Stempel sind von diversen Herstellern.

Thanks so much for looking.

WOYWW 230 - chaos everywhere

Hi to all the peekers and deskhoppers all around the globe.
It's this time again when you have the best of all excuses (if you feel you need one :-)) to snoop around other people's desks and the things they're up to. Among other things the foreign desks are a great source of inspiration from very talented people. Julia Dunnit is the generous host who pulls all the strings on her blog 'Stamping Ground'.
Today it's chaos again, as way too often recently. The children have Autumn holidays and are at home, so very little time for crafting.
I tried to make a card on commission - have been asked to make something with flowers. I had such a hard time ... I don't own many flowers and very rarely use them. So I made a variety to choose from.
It's for a coworker who's going to retire (gelli plate prints, sprayed backgrounds various stamps, a bit of stencilling with modeling paste, and I found a long forgotten inchie which I added to one of the cards).
Then: stamps, coffee, ink pads, bits and bobs, chaos, bits I tested different things on. On the left you can see some pieces I'm planning to make ATCs with and on top of the little pile an attempt to make a playing card, you can see the finished ones in this blog post.
On the upper left corner in the first pic you can spot a card I made with new stamps I got :-)
Thank you so mmuch for visiting and having a look at my 'desk'.
Please bear with me when I'll only be able to comment later today, I promised the children to visit the museum of art  ...

some more (birthday) cards

I did on commission for coworkers.
They're no typical cards with congrats on them and such, I always try to personalize them.

This one looks a bit strange, but let me assure you it fits for the person concerned :-)
the crown is more coppery, actually ..

And this one is a very personal one, not really a birthday card but an idea that came to my mind ...
Thank you very much for visiting, have a great week.

T, J, H - wenn Ihr hier guckt, selbst dran schuld :-D

just a quick card ... free ticket

I made these days.
The idea is unscrupulously filched from Eva, the working out is from me :-)
Thank you so much for your visit :-) I always feel honored when you're stopping by ...

WOYWW #227

Hi to all the peekers and deskhoppers all around the globe.
It's this time again when you have the best of all excuses (if you feel you need one :-)) to snoop around other people's desks and the things they're up to. Among other things the foreign desks are a great source of inspiration from very talented people. Julia Dunnit is the generous host who pulls all the strings on her blog 'Stamping Ground'.

Today I'm sharing only a very restricted view on my desk.

Above there's a card I made for daughter nr. 1's birthday invitation. They'll go to the cinema to see a movie about a car race. Then there are some leaves I prepared for whatever Autumn project, an ATC that you can hardly recognise, an arch that I still have to finish and dominoes.
On the second pic you can see a leftover scrap from a gelli plate print I want to use these days. And a closer look at the leaves.
For the rest of the week I have to do a few birthday cards I have been asked for for some of my coworkers so I'm not sure when I'll be able to go on with my own things ... *sighs*
I really wish my time wouldn't be so limited ...

Thanks so much for visiting, have a great day and happy WOYWW!!
