Mail Art Swap

Initiated by the Art Journey Challenge 'Mail Art Envelopes' some time ago I did mailart swaps with two very versatile and talented ladies: Alie and Tera.

Please have a look at the most wonderful and gorgeous mail art I got from these inspiring ladies

from Alie:
this beautifully colored and stamped envelope
plus one of her famous most wonderful and bright TAGs

and from Tera I got this most elaborate and artful envelope
front and back

 and a fabulous matching card
I thank you so very much ladies, it has been such great fun to create my envelopes and to swap with you.

I'd so love to do more swaps at some point, mailart, TAGs, ATCs ... whatever. Love this.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a quiet week ..

Thank YOU

Hello to all my followers *waves*
Long promised, but only now I'm getting around to posting it:
a little giveaway containing this and that for one of my followers.

Looks more than it actually is :-)
Some bits of metal, two library cards, a few stamps, an altered domino, Art Anthology dimensional paint, twine, epoxy stickers, wooden numbers ...
If you're interested please leave a comment and my little redhaired devil will pick one of you out of her favorite Perry-the-platypus cap within the next 48 hours ...

Thanks to all of you who are following my efforts to create art and to do some self-therapy.

swap

Hi all, thank you so much for visiting my blog.

It's quite a while now since I asked one of my artistic idols, Patti Tolley Parrish from Inky Obsessions, if she'd swap one of her awesome gelli print journals with me. To my huge amazement and delight she agreed :-D
Without further ado, this is what I got:
An awesome piece of printed fabric with gorgeous colors. I really must give this another go. My first piece had hardly any color on it. Isn't it fabulous? Love the butterflies and the script, also the leaves of course. I wish you could touch it, it has a wonderful feel to it.

Some more absolutely stunning fabric, I so love these ... a feast for the eyes. I will treasure all those amazing pieces until something very special comes to my mind what I can do with them.
And please have a closer look at this marvelous necklace! Also an explosion of yummie colors, I love how they merge so beautifully ...
Fab envelopes with cards and a tool for the gelli plate - I don't know what it's called, but I'm eager to try it :-)
I asked for some black and white duct tape because here in G we only have the plain black and grey ones, so she send me some fantastic moustache tape - doesn't it look fab? Along with gorgeous little tags and a terrific foam flower stamp. Can't wait to try this either ...

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd - last but not least - the journal she made for me (and the moonshadow mist, I SO love these ... how could she possibly know?):

Look at this fantastic closure and those terrific beads ... the colors, the touch ... *sigh* I could just sit and stroke it LOL
Here some random awesome pages:

I'm no person of exuberant words, but let me assure you I'm beyond delighted with those gifts! My heartfelt deepest thanks to you, Patti!
I hope I didn't leave out anything, that would be a shame. I kept all the things in the box they came in but with those many little curious hands you never know ...

And if you want to know what Patti got from me please have a look at this vid, from approximately 00:36 on ...

Thank you so very much for stopping by and admiring this heap of yummieness with me.

TAG swap with Julia

some time ago I did a TAG swap with my incredibly talented blogfriend Julia from Julia's stuff.
Sadly I didn't get around to post it until now due (at the risk of sounding repetitive :-P) to some constant annoying illness and exhaustion ...
But here it is.
Imagine my great surprise when I not only unpacked this most adorable tree TAG (the pic doesn't do it justice, it looks even more gorgeous in real life),

but also a lot of little elaborately packed parcels - I love to unpack things :-) must be a child hidden within me after all LOL

sat there for a while and just looked at those wonderful things ...
Julia generously and positively spoiled me with a lot of little 'somethings' ...

lots of beautiful cut outs: ornaments, witches, baubles, locks, fasteners and BATS! ;-) Also some very lovely wings, brads, a lovely embossed metal plate, ball chain, a beautifully made little note and these adorable self made flowers and this little gorgeous bird which feels so very textured and great to the touch ... *sighs*
Julia I thank you so very, very much, it has been better than Christmas :-) you'll never know how much you brightened my day :-D
Big hugs, Suzanne xxx

swap with Mark

Some time ago I asked the absolutely natural talented Mark from speshink if he'd like to do an ATC swap with me. Felt very honored and flattered when he agreed :-))
We went for spooky/creepy/goth/... ATCs.

Here's what I made, very nervous and biting nails if he would like it :-)

The skull is cut out from grunge board, crackled and smeared with inka gold.

a little bit of glossy on the jar with frog ointment ...

 couldn't resist the eyeball :-)
Didn't notice before now that each ATC has a spider on it ;-)

So, hope Mark liked these little pieces so far ...

------------------------------------------

And now I'm finally very happy to show you what my blogfriend Mark surprised me with:

A gorgeous little girlie with the cutest spider

an adorable skull on acetate on a marvellous background (you please have to tell me how you did this *g*) - love the wire, too.

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd
*drumroll* please

here comes what he mysteriously announced to me as

THE BLUE THING!!!

Absolutely adorable!!!
Love these stampotique images anyway and I can't get enough of those aged frames and stuff Mark does so brilliantly! The color is striking and the whole piece has still to get a special place around here :-)
Thank you so much, Mark, that's mind blowing ...

Hugs, Suzanne xx

And thanks again, too, for the generous image swap ;-)
