a bunch of (collage-)ATCs

Hi everyone,
I've been away for a frew days, for the Easter holidays, and I tried not to take too much art stuff with me - haha. Of course I only had the chance and time to use some bits and pieces and so I made a couple ATCs:

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look.
Have a quiet week ... Hugs, Suzanne xxx

Journal Page

Today I'm sharing a page I did yesterday.
That I would use pink (waaaay out of my comfort zone) and grey was the only thing I knew when I started.
This is what it became in the end

Ingedients involved:
Palette knife, acrylic paints, DIY and other stencils, one handcarved stamp and one from the fabulous Master Andy Skinner, Stabilo all marking pencil, a google search for quotes on women, Derwent graphik line painters black and white and wonky handwriting :-)

It reads
Lock up your libraries if you like; but there is no gate, no lock, no bolt that you can set upon the freedom of my mind.
(by Virginia Woolf)

Thanks for having a peek.

a few ATCs

Hi all,

I don't get around to doing much so I love ATCs e.g. I made a few these days, inspired by but not strictly following Seth Apter's Collage principles.
I'm so much in love with Seth's work and techniques, it's great and very inspiring to watch his instructions. I highly recommend them :-D

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look. I hope you are all well.

Gelli print stickers

Hi all,

recently I dug up my gelli printing plate(s) and did a bit of playing around with them - and a few acrylic paints; sheets intended to be backgrounds, mostly. I just loved some too much to not keep them in any way so they were printed onto adhesive a4 labels and I used punches to get small shapes.

I don't have many punches so it's circles and squares mainly. I also used the big shot and circle dies in different seizes.

You can use the shapes to add to art journal pages for example

or you can even use up the remains to start new ones

Of course you can also use the shapes in any other way you can possibly think of :-)

Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

On a personal note: I won't apologise any more for being absent for long times now and again, it's just the way it is and it's the way I am. I just want you to know I'm still here and I don't want to seem rude in any way.
Hugs to all of you

round canvas

Hi all ...
I know, it's very quiet on my side. That makes me so sad, I'd so love to do/create more and above all more of the makes that I feel comfortable showing. There are no specific reasons, sadly just because. From time to time I'm retreating into my 'hermit crab-mode' and there's no way telling for how long this is going to last.
Anyway, as you can see in the sidebar I'm an adventurer on Wanderlust and I had a try at a round mixed media canvas I'm sharing with you (I won't tell how much time it took me :-P):

At first I didn't think I could do this but I like the result :-)
No stamps this time ...

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a peek.
Have a great weekend all of you.

a bunch of gelli collages

Hi all ...
Seems 'Summer' is over, doesn't it? Yupp, I'm a bit pessimistic on that one.
My little daughter finished her swimming class today with rain and about 16°C - maybe 17°C. Anyway, this is just a quick post to share some collages I made with gelli plate printed paper and fuzzy cut stamp images. You may have seen the one or other but I wanted to collect all of them in one post.

The stamps I used are by de stempelwinkel, artemio, oxford impressions, hampton art, paper artsy, Brett Weldele/stampers anonymous, and viva las vegas stamps.
I made the bookmarks to leave them behind in a small telephone booth library in the area of our local swimmingpool. I hope they'll find new owners who like them a bit :-D

Thank you ever so much for stopping by and have a great weekend.

more leftovers still ... assembling scraps

Hi all,
I fell ill again - guess it was for too long that I've been well :-( and I'm only able to play around a little with some more scraps I dug up. So I decided to make this a more frequent thing (if not regular) together with those cards I already made now and then for the last weeks.

found: the background with the pattern stamps and the word 'industrial' (some patterned paper, gessoed up and stamped, if I recall correctly), piece of a butterly wing, cut out girl, gelli printed washi tape.
added: the steampunk machine Stempelwinkel image SW R12102, the red gelli collage elements (leftovers from my Mother's day card), the eye (from an I*EA TAG, colored with a wash of acrylic ink).

found:
the background (sprayed with Dylusion sprays, water and a letter stencil), piece of a gelli print, scrap from a die cut TH weathered clock.
added: Stampotique stamp - heat embossed with white ep, scrap is colored with distress stain black soot, Dylusion stamps leaves, words, some of the leaves are colored in slightly with neocolor II wax crayons.

Lia, the kindest and most wonderful owner of the Dutch stamp and mixed media shop de Craftorij and her very busy and creative team have set up a Facebook group some time ago, where the teamies have several mini challenges and other stuff going on. Much worth visiting, I'm highly recommending it.
The second card is for the Tuesday mini (Stampotique) challenge, run by Coby van Willigenburg, which this time is: use just one stencil (and at least one Stampotique image) - it's the letter stencil in the background you can hardly recognise :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look.
Have a good time everyone.

stamped stuff and an altered calendar - very picture-heavy post

Hi all :-)
I'm apologizing in advance because this is going to be - very atypical for me :-D - a picture-heavy post.

First I'm sharing a bunch of cards and a TAG I did last week. Another coworker's birthday is around the corner and after I absolutely didn't have any idea the first day I made four simultaneously and had to concentrate to not mix up my ideas :-) but hey, I think even that would have been interesting.
First up the two blue ones I shared over at de stempelwinkel designteam blog:

And those are the two other cards I made to choose from:

Two cards and a TAG I made and sent off resp. gave away:

another TAG:
and last but not least a calendar I bought the other day - before and after:

Thank you so very much for taking the time for a visit and your patience with all my pics.
I hope you will understand that I don't have the time at the  moment to give the details on each make. If you have a specific question or just want to know how one of these was made please leave me a comment or use my email-address in the profile - thanks so much.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
