a birthday card again - allow us to congratulate you

A week ago I've been at a crafty - and chatty - get together and had lots of fun :-D
And I only got one single card done. Good or bad sign? ;-) I take it as a good sign, I definitely enjoyed being there.
I got the chance to use some great Stampotique images and the guy who got the card knows me and my sense of humour quite well. We shared a life changing time - no, nothing relationship-ish, something completely different.
Some of you have already seen it on FB:

To be honest I can't remember how exactly I did the background. I think a bit of gelli print and some tinted modeling paste may have been involved. The collage elements have been stamped on different gelli prints and fuzzy cut, the Stampotique images were fuzzy cut too and colored in with distress ink pads and a waterbrush.

Thanks so very much for stopping by today and have a great Sunday everyone.

Summer challenge at De Craftorij

Hi all.
I'm taking part in the Summer Challenge run by the Dutch stamp shop De Craftorij - some very talented and imaginative ladies set up a Facebook group for those crafty people who'd like to join.
Each day there's a new little challenge or an assignment which you're asked to make an index card on. To collect those I made this box the other day.
To keep our fingers flexible there have been some warming ups like

card with a flap or envelope

inchies
circles
simple card with Stampotique image
... and the first assignment today was or still is 'droplets':
It's running for two months and I'm curious at how far I get with my job and everyday life around here ...

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a good week.

more leftovers still ... assembling scraps

Hi all,
I fell ill again - guess it was for too long that I've been well :-( and I'm only able to play around a little with some more scraps I dug up. So I decided to make this a more frequent thing (if not regular) together with those cards I already made now and then for the last weeks.

found: the background with the pattern stamps and the word 'industrial' (some patterned paper, gessoed up and stamped, if I recall correctly), piece of a butterly wing, cut out girl, gelli printed washi tape.
added: the steampunk machine Stempelwinkel image SW R12102, the red gelli collage elements (leftovers from my Mother's day card), the eye (from an I*EA TAG, colored with a wash of acrylic ink).

found:
the background (sprayed with Dylusion sprays, water and a letter stencil), piece of a gelli print, scrap from a die cut TH weathered clock.
added: Stampotique stamp - heat embossed with white ep, scrap is colored with distress stain black soot, Dylusion stamps leaves, words, some of the leaves are colored in slightly with neocolor II wax crayons.

Lia, the kindest and most wonderful owner of the Dutch stamp and mixed media shop de Craftorij and her very busy and creative team have set up a Facebook group some time ago, where the teamies have several mini challenges and other stuff going on. Much worth visiting, I'm highly recommending it.
The second card is for the Tuesday mini (Stampotique) challenge, run by Coby van Willigenburg, which this time is: use just one stencil (and at least one Stampotique image) - it's the letter stencil in the background you can hardly recognise :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look.
Have a good time everyone.

Stampotique

Hello everyone and thanks so much for stopping by ...
Today I have a tag and a domino piece for a little Challenge where stampotique stamps are asked for.

The domino still has to dry, that's why it looks a bit opaque.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look; have a great weekend all of you ...

all the small things ...

I didn't share yet ...

A tag and an ATC for a Stampotique challenge in an FB group. They asked for red, orange and another color plus Stampotique stamps.
The background is gelli printed fabric with various stencils.
For this ATC I used a gelli plate print too and added the angel and some small chipboard letters, covered with another Stampotique stamp and glossy accents.

Then I finally got my stamps from smeared ink and used one :-) I love those little monsters ...

And at last there were two cards that popped into my mind when I looked over the stamps that accumulated on my table ... again with backgrounds from gelli plate prints.

I'm linking this up to Carolyn Dube's October Gelli Print Party

Read a couple of books about introverts and highly sensitive people LOL

I can't thank you enough for visiting my blog :-) always a pleasure to see you stopping by.

ROTFLMAO

Does anyone recognize this?
There are people around you, roaring with laughter, while you ask yourself what the hell was that funny? While you're still busy looking for the joke?
Well, that's me ...

No, it's not that I don't get the joke ... it's just I don't think things (too) funny that most people do :-D

Just a stupid card that came to my mind this morning and looked much better in my imagination anyway LOL
But here's the result.

Thanks a lot for having a peek ...

a small TAGbooklet with envelopes made from gelli prints

I made a little TAG book with some of the envelopes I made from my gelli plate prints.
At the moment there are mainly TAG backgrounds in it and I decorated the envelope pockets almost solely with stampotique stamps.

This is my entry for the stampotique designers challengeSDC#103 'create from an envelope'. If you'd like to learn about the details please have a look at their blog.

And I'm also entering it into Carolyn Dube's awesome gelli print party.

these are the prepared backgrounds on black TAGs:

I got a small number of interference colors yesterday and wanted to try them. The extraordinarily nice saleswoman gave me a little pot of golden interference blue as a gift ... I've been amazed how it looks on black together with some iridescent colors from pebeo:
Thanks so much for stopping by and a great Sunday to all of you!

Halloween in Green ...

On the blog of the adorably talented Tracy Evans I spotted an absolute stunning card with a background from green Dylusion Sprays. While I had my Stampotiques out for some reason I played a little bit around with those sprays and stamps ...
Of course the results are only a pale imitation ;-) but I had great fun! :-))

Stamps: Stampotique, Paper Artsy Hot Pick (bats, bottle), Katzelkraft (clockface), de Stempelwinkel (skull)
The skull is a template I got at the 'Mekka' stamp fair, it's by Lost Coast Design.
Stamps: Hot pick (October 31st), Chocolate Baroque (sentiment), Hot Pick (skull border).
For the bat I glued some cut outs together and coated them with glossy after I dotted the eyes with red stickles.
Stamps: Hot Picks (October 31st, tree), Stampotique.

The splatters are by Tim Holtz.

Thanks so much for stopping by
