still alive

and kicking, I am.
I have to sincerely apologize for not being around more frequently - and for not commenting on my favorite- and other blogs.
I'm okay so far, it's 'only' that life is very, very busy and stressful at the moment - once more :-( In addition to that the children have Summer holidays and there are quite some logistics to do and things to organize ... oh well, I don't want to get too private here :-)
I'm going to share some pieces I made inbetween, just cards

a birthday card on commission for an acquaintance, she wants to go to the USA this year and got a voucher for a visit at the EmpireState Building

a birthday card for a coworker, the first double sided card I made for one of them :-)

another birthday card for a collegue

a card for another coworker who left our department
three TAGs - just for fun and with leftovers

and a good bye for one more coworker who left for another employer

So, just you can see I didn't quit crafting, although I didn't do anything for myself ...
Oh yes, I did - this one:
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and having a look.
Have a great week everyone -
hugs, Suzanne xxx

good bye ...

Hello all,
another coworker will leave us soon and of course our best wishes are with him.

(the words translate 'up to a new horizon')

The background is made with a flimsy plastic bag, crumpledup and 'stamped' with Archival ink turquoise and green. The balloonist (See? He even waves a hanky ;-D) is by artistic outpost, the town by 100 proof press but I can't recall the company I got the trees from.
Thanks so very  much for stopping by and having a look.
Have a good and crafty week everyone ...

Hugs, Suzanne xxx

another card I did on commission

for a coworker who likes mountain biking:

The background is sprayed with die cut cogs as stencils. Stamps are by katzelkraft, T.H. and indigo blu. The image is printed out and coloured with DIs.

--------------------------------------------------

Thanks for having a look.
Enjoy your sunny Sunday where and if you can :-D

Am I grumpy?

I might be. But I think maybe sometimes it's misinterpreted.
(Harrison Ford)

I just love this guy, though. The stamp image, that is, not Harrison Ford :-D
This is another card I made from a piece of a paper I rolled the paint off of my brayer on. I experimented with the image (embossed with black powder) and tried to give him some color by wiping a few distress paints on a sheet, spritzing it with water ans swiping him through. It did not quite come out as intended but it's okay for me. I pinched the idea to stamp the bulb this way from my wonderful blogfriend Anne. The cogs are embossed with frantage embossing enamel aged silver.
All the stamps are by T.H.

------------------------------

Thanks a very lot for having a look.
Happy Easter holidays to all of you ... ♥

joie de vivre

another card I made on commission (for a birthday again):

The background is sprayed with different sprays and templates from die cuts.
For the gentleman I used the paper piecing technique (got the idea from Brenda, hope she doesn't mind ...) and the other stamps are by: paper artsy, T.H., acapella, artistic outpost.
For the tophat I used black crackle paint.

Thanks for looking.

numbers and butterflies

A little card for the challenge 'by the numbers' on the Simon says stamp and show blog.

Another gelli plate background with stamps by katzelkraft, darkroomdoor and oxford impressions, colored with DI. I replaced the balls of the juggler with bingo numbers, covered with glossy accents and adhered with 3D dots.

------------------

The corresponding challenge at Dragonsdream Tag it On is over so I'm too late for that one, but I used the recipe (orange, purple, butterflies, a TAG and at least one real stamp) as an inspiration because I wanted to make something with this gorgeous stampunk butterfly by chocolate baroque:

For the background I swiped some distress stain tarnished brass on my craft sheet, added some orange colorwash spray and blotted the TAG into the colors, then I dried it with the heat gun. Afterwards I sprayed it over with some dylusion spray purple. Stamps are by chocolate baroque (the big butterfly and a pattern in the background you can hardly see). I embossed some cogs with vintage photo embossing powder but this isn't really recognizable either. The small butterflies are die cut with a T.H. die and then I added several mini gears and the clock hand.
I stamped the gears on the small butterflies too and added a little bit of a tiny chain.

I'm entering the TAG into the newly launched 'left of center challenge' (thanks, Vee x) where anything is allowed as long as it's
Steampunk
Horror
Anime
Gothic
Punk
Halloween
Scary or creepy
Mythical
... and  falls into the category 'LOC' (all details and rules on the blog).

Thanks a lot for having a look.

London

The last card in purple and green for the time being. I'm fed up with those colors right now. Pushed it into brown, though :-D
Ooops, just noticed it fits for the 'Take a Word Challenge': Masculine.

I had this in mind for some time and now finally I had the time to make it real. And while I was at it I made three cards :-)

Abflug in das Land, wo der Pfeffer wächst / go jump in the lake!

Ich musste mich nach einem Tiefschlag erholen.

I had to calm down after a heavy kick in the gut.
