another note holder block

Again a little project with those gorgeous yummieh decoart products.
As a thank you for a coworker who is extremely kind and ready to help throughout the year I made a note holder.

It's from a wooden block that I painted with Americana tradidtions blue green light and media fluids phtalo green blue. Around the edges some reactive metallic paint was used to make it rusty. Then came a little bit of stamping that I covered with two step crackle, the cracks were highlighted with media fluids quin gold.
Those colours were also used to make the background for the cover, they were scraped onto cardstock with a palette knife.
Everything was sealed with media varnish utra matte and the cover was laminated.

A ring binder was also rusted and fastened with screws.
To fill the note holder I used cut up paper from my office work (upcycling is the keyword ;-)) to take notes and - separated by a postcard to color in - a stack of paper I had printed with doodle prompts.

it's a girl ... no, two girls :-)

just a quick little card for a neighbour who gave birth to twin girls ...

Afterwards I decided it would look a bit better if I stamped the little socks again, cut them out and adhered them over the stamped ones with 3d dots. Can't take a picture cause I don't have it any more.
(the images on the background are stamped with DI aged mahagony and victorian velvet, the bear with staz on timber brown. all stamps by darkroomdoor.)

*hust* "Mitgebseltüten" / goody bags

Tochter 1 feiert morgen ihren Geburtstag nach mit ihren Freunden und Freundinnen.
Ich hatte mal einen Packen Papiertüten geschenkt bekommen von Iris und später diese Möglichkeit, sie aufzuhübschen, im Netz gesehen.
Die eine Seite habe ich mit Herbstblättern bestempelt und auf der anderen Seite habe ich einen Streifen mit Tafelfarbe aufgetragen. Am oberen und unteren Rand habe ich ein Band aufgeklebt mit doppelseitigem Klebeband. Auf die Farbe können die Namen der Kinder geschrieben (und wieder abgewischt) werden. Zum Verschließen werde ich die Tüten einfach zutackern *gg*

Daughter 1 is going to have a birthday party tomorrow with her friends.
I made those little bags to put some goodies (which I'll show later perhaps *g) into. Iris gave me some of these paper bags once and I discovered an easy way to jazz them up a little on the web the other day.
One side I stamped with Darkroomdoor 'leaves'. On the other side I painted a broad strip with blackboard paint. At the top and at the bottom I adhered ribbons with double sided tape.
On the paint you can write (and remove *g*) the names of the guests with blackboard pencils. To close the bags I'll simply staple them.

Autumn

Inspired by one of Godelieve's devine artworks I tried to make my own autumn card.
Of course it doesn't achieve by any means the beautiful example, but I think it's quite a solid work for me.

The cardstock isn't really that purplish as it seems om the pic.
