100th challenge and a sad Good Bye

This is our 100th challenge over at Fun with ATC - thus the number 100 - and sadly the last one.
Thanks to all of you faithful followers and players and of course a big thank you to all of my teamies for a great time. It was huge fun to play along with such a talented team and I wouldn't want to miss this experience. For me it has been the first DT 'membership' and it helped me a lot.
-----------

The background is another gelli plate piece, heat embossed with a T.H. background stamp and glittery white. The image is a little grumpie by smeared ink, colored with distress ink pads.
---------

Please have a look at the wonderful ATCs the DT made and I hope you'll play along, although it will be for the last time.

Thanks so much for having a look.

night

Hello people from blogland, I hope you're all well ...
We're well into October now and it's time for a new challenge over at Fun with ATCs. This time we ask you for ... no, not Halloween, not Autumn/Fall either - but for NIGHT.
Please show us your ATCs with your ideas of night.
---------------

For this ATC I stamped on a white piece of cardstock and clear embossed the moon. The background is sponged with Distress Inks. Then I ironed the embossing off, applied some crackle paint rock candy and sponged it over with black DI when it was dry.
---------------

Please hop over on the FwATCs blog to see the ATCs my fellow DT members created.

I'm entering this into the Musically Challenged blog where the challenge is 'Bark at the Moon'. I hope it fits :-D

Thanks so much for visiting and have a good week!

Fun with ATCs challenge #98: 3 stamps or more / 3 Stempel oder mehr

Hello all and thanks for stopping by.
Just a quick post today to share my ATC for the FwATCs challenge #98.
-----------------------

still (as always, actually LOL) in Halloween / spooky mood.
The background - surprise, surprise - is a gelli plate print again, love it so much. The (black embossed) archway is a gorgeous stamp by indigo blu, the words are from paper artsy (also black embossed and cut out from another gp background), the graveyard with the tree and the fab monk are stamps by Acapella Stempel - Heidi makes such a great range of marvelous and unusual stamps.
--------------------

To get some inspiration please hop over on the Fun with ATCs-Blog and have a thorough look at the gorgeous little artworks my fellow DT members made.

CAS - trying clean and simple

Hello dear visitors and faithful followers.
It's Autumn finally. It's chilly and I begin to think about where the heck my self-knitted socks are.
Another fortnight has passed by and you're welcome to join us - if you like - for another challenge over at Fun with ATCs, where we want to see your clean and simple artworks this time.
-------------------------------------

Along with Autumn Halloween is approaching and I took the opportunity to slowly get into the mood :-D as if I wouldn't 'do' creepy all year round *hehe*.
I tried to color it with pan pastel.
----------

So please pay us a visit at FwATCs and play along with your clean and simple gorgeousness. Feel invited to have a loook at the wonderful pieces my fellow DT members made.
-----------------

black, white, red ...

A big hello to all of you, visitors and passers by, and of course a warm welcome to my faithful followers.
It's our 95th challenge over at the Fun with ATCs blog and this time we ask you to use just black, white, and red.

But this time we have something special: two wonderful and imaginative ladies are joining us and will reinforce our ranks. We are very glad to have them in our team. Please pop by and welcome them :-)
----------------------------------------------

It's just a plain white piece of cardstock with stamps by darkroomdoor, stamp franciso and ... oh, I have to look where the queen is from, will add that later ... the edges were embossed with black ep.
 -------------

For inspiration - in case you feel you could do with some :-D - please hop over to the Fun with ATCs blog to have a look at the fab ATCs my teamies made.

Have fun creating your ATCs :-D

all good things go in threes

Hi to all of you who've been awaiting the new challenge over at ATCs with excitement :-) and of course hi to all the visitors, too :-) Hope you're all well and enjoying some good time crafting - or doing whatever people around the world are doing in Summer.

Again a fortnight passed by in a wink and it's time for a new challenge at FwATCs. This time we ask for a set of three ATCs that recognisably belong together.
-------------------------

This is what I made:

The background is made with some paper from an old encyclopedia I found in the bulk trash (there were at least two more but they've been too soaked to rescue) and dyed with tea. I stamped some images from stamper's best and cherry pie onto it. Then I stamped postmarks on a gelli print as well as the animals which I cut out and adhered to the postmarks (postmarks and animals are by Acapella Stempel).
-------------------------

For some inspiration please have a look at the gorgeous ATCs the other DT members created, you can see them on the FwATCs challenge blog.

Thanks so much for having a look and each comment is highly appreciated :-)

classic films for the Fun with ATCs challenge #91

Hello all you ATC lovers and crafters out there ... hope you are well and able to enjoy a few sunny days for a change.

We have a new challenge over at Fun with ATCs - this time it's something for the avid movie watchers among you - classic films.
-------------------------

I couldn't decide and made three ATCs ...
-------------------------
Stamps are by oxford impressions and art journey plus a scrap from my dictionary.

Stamps by crafty individuals, Acapella stempel, Andy Skinner, hampton arts.
Both backgrounds are gelli plate prints.

I had some blood left from my small zombie-project. Stamps: Tim Holtz, unknown.

Can you guess which films they are supposed to be? :-)
 -------------------------

To get some inspiration or just admire some awesome ATCs please hop over to the FwATCs challenge blog to have a look at the amazing ATCs the DT member made.

Thanks a lot for looking.

flowers ...

challenge #90 over at FwATCs.

Hi folks, hope you're well out there ...
Now that there's finally a whiff of Summer around we ask you to show us some flowers :-)
Another fortnight passed by and we have a new Challenge over at Fun with ATCs.

This is what I did:

I almost forgot about it completely and made it just under the wire - I think that is the quickest ATC I ever made LOL
The background is a design paper by Die Cuts With a View ('tattered time') which my eyes fell on when I was looking around for an inspiration desperately. The dress form is cut from a gelli print (still lay on my craft table for some reason) and with the paper in mind I thought about putting it through the bigshot with a cog embossing folder. Afterwards some treasure gold indigo was rubbed over the raised areas.
Then I added some metal flowers by artemio, a necklace from a ball chain and some metal by prima flowers.
Well, that's it :-D

------------------------------------------

For some inspiration or just to see some gorgeous flowers blooming around please have a look at the awesome ATCs my teamies made on the FwATCs challenge blog.
Have lots of fun creating your own flowery ATCs, we're looking forward to them :-)

Thanks so much for having a look.

under water ... fun with ATCs challenge #89

Hello followers and visitors, I hope you're all well wherever you are.

I don't know where the time goes these days ... again it's a new challenge at the fun with ATCs blog: we ask you to show us what you think is going on under the water.
-----------
Für die neue Challenge auf dem Fun with ATCs Blog möchten wir Eure Vorstellungen davon sehen, was sich unter der Wasseroberfläche abspielt.

We all know it's not all peaceful and beautiful down there, not everything love, peace and harmony ... I caught this mermaid impaling a fish for dinner ...

The background is a gelli plate print again, I thought the colors would work well to picture the sea. There's a gorgeous shimmer in it when you hold it at the right angle ... The stamp is by stampotique, unfortunately you can't see the shimmer in the mermaid's tail either. The hair is colored with DI reinker and covered with red stickles. At the bottom I firstly put a bit of modeling paste onto the cardstock, then adhered some bird sand with glossy accents and finally sprinkled some frantage embossing enamel shabby white over it. The fish and the shell are cut out from different gelli prints. Finally I used some chipboard 'grass' painted with distress paint and covered with glossy accents as a coral. Some more embossing enamel (aged teal) around the edges - finished.
-----------

For your inspiration please have a look at the awesome pieces my teamies made on the Fun with ATCs blog. We're looking very much forward to your many artistic entries.
Thanks for playing along with our challenge and have a great time being crafty.

I'm also entering this into the smudgy antics challenge where the awesome DT asks to use texture in a project.

Never refuse to reuse

A very warm welcome to my newest followers ♥
Sorry, I don't look there very often because there's hardly ever any movement :-)

And hello folks, followers and passers by, I hope you're all well, although Autumn seems to have returned ... :-/

Another fortnight passed by in a wink and it's time for challenge #88 at the Fun with ATCs blog which is recycling. We ask you to recycle/reuse whatever you may think of or find in your surroundings and make it into a single ATC-sized project.
----

These are my examples:

With this one I used a pendant my children found somewhere outside for me. They like bringing things like this home in case I could use them for something :-D
The background is a gelli print from my stash I used a tree stencil on. I tried to age the pendant a little bit by applying AAI, embossing powder and some patina stuff.
--------------

On this I used an old finger puppet I dug out from the mess that's also called child's room:
--------------
Eine alte Fingerpuppe auf gelli HG mit Katzelkraft Stempel :-)

Another gelli print background and a katzelkraft stamp.

Here I used some printer colors my children (yes, they again) brought from the bulk trash. I made the background with canned air and added a crafty individuals stamp.
--------------

Please check out the awesome little projects my fellow DT members made over at the Fun with ATCs blog and have a blast creating your own ATCs with recycled items or material.

Thanks a lot for having a look  :-D

ATCs with texture

Hi peeps, followers and passers by, I hope you're all well now that spring is in full bloom :-)

It's time for challenge #87 over at the Fun with ATCs blog. This time we ask you for lots and lots of various texture on your ATCs.

These two are my entries:
The background on this ATC is made with a technique Buttons showed on the Frilly and Funky blog some time ago. I stamped a cog stamp from Tim Holtz' time traveller plate into the viva decor ferro while it was still a bit wet. I added a few metal embellishments and a black embossed stamp image by paper artsy/hot picks.
-------------------

For this one I used a technique Andy Skinner teaches in his 'rock your book' online workshop so please understand that out of respect I can't tell you the how-to. I used a skull I bought from the €-shop once and a metal spider from T.H. The look on the skull developed by accident. I painted it with distress paint antique linen first, then overpainted it with fresco crackle paint which I dried with the heat gun. Then I applied some distress stain vintage photo and dabbed it back with a kitchen towel. I really don't know what exactly happened - or not ;o) - there are no cracks but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I squeezed some red stickles into the eye sockets to finish it off.
------------------------

If you could do with some inspiration please hop over to the Fun with ATCs blog and have a look at the awesome ATCs my fellow DT members created.

Thank you ever so much for stopping by ...
Have fun with loads of texture :-D

there's magic in the air ...

Firstly a warm welcome to my newest followers, I'm very happy and thankful to have you here and hope you like some of the things you see :o)

Again two weeks have passed and it's the 86th challenge over at Fun with ATCs.
This time we ask you for ATCs that picture your conceptions of 'magic' in whatever way. These are my entries:

The background of the first one is simply sprayed with some Moon Shadow Spray, the sourcerer is by acapella stamps and the bottles by vilda stamps. At some point I decided to add a little bit of a woodgrain stamp, but don't remember what company it is by.

For the second one I used the distress paint marble technique or whatever it's called (basically smear some paint on a mat - antique linen, broken china, rusty hinge - spray some water on it and pull the cardstock through), then I coated it with a layer of dylusion spray white. The voodoo doll is a very brave attempt to draw something on my own LOL. Finally I added some stickles onto the top of the needles and sprinkled some frantage embossing enamel black and ivory over the whole ATC. Stamps are by clear art stamps and zettiology.
-------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------

Please check out the awesome ATCs my fellow DT members came up with on the FwATCs challenge blog and get inspired. Have fun showing us your magic :-)

Fun with ATCs challenge #85: windows/doors -- Fenster/Türen

Hello everyone, faithful followers and passers-by, and thank you so much for your visit.

Another fortnight went by in a snap and it's time for a new challenge over at Fun with ATCs - this time we ask you for windows and/or doors.

Because I couldn't think of a suitable stamp in time I went for a photo-collage with some of my holiday snaps of last year ... way too looooong ago *sighs*
The background is sprayed with dylusion sprays and the two stamps of which you can only see the tiniest detail are by artemio.
------------------------
-----------------------
So, now it's your turn. We are looking forward to the wonderful little artworks you'll come up with. Please hop over to FwATCs and have a look at the awesome ATCs my fellow DT members made and get inspired to create your own.

Thanks for having a look.

writing/script (schreiben/Schrift) - FwATCs challenge #84

Thank you so very much for the many, many entries you provided for our last challenge. We've had a very hard time to pick just three for our favourites.

Now again a fortnight has rushed by and it's time for a new challenge over at Fun with ATCs. This time we'd like to see what you come up with when you're thinking about writing and/or script.

The sentiment is a bit hard to read on this one, it says: The role of the writer is not to say what we all can say, but what we are unable to say (frei übersetzt: Es ist nicht die Aufgabe des Autor zu sagen, was wir alle sagen können, sondern das, was wir unfähig sind auszudrücken).
Both backgrounds are made with panpastels, stamps are by darkroomdoor, stamper's best and docrafts.

-------------

We're very much looking forward to your doubtless gorgeous entries. To get inspired please hop over to the FwATCs blog and have a look at the stunning ATCs my fellow DT members came up with.
Have fun!

Thanks for having a look.

gothic - Fun with ATCs challenge #83

Thank you so very much for the many, many entries you provided for our last challenge. We've had a very hard time to pick just three for our favourites.

Now again a fortnight has rushed by and it's time for a new challenge over at Fun with ATCs. This time we'd like to see your gothic-themed ATCs.

For my ATC I firstly sprayed the background with some moon shadow spray by Lindy's stamp gang. It has a great iridescent effect. Then I stamped and masked the 'fallen angel' (don't remember what the image is called actually) and the moon and sprayed faded jeans, a little black soot and dusty concord (all self made sprays from DI reinkers and water) on the top to create a kind of night sky. Afterwards I stamped the graveyard gate and the tree with the birds. Because the sky seemed a little too dark I took some color away by using a waterbrush. The coloring is done with DI reinker iced spruce, tattered rose and fired brick.
Stamps are by stampinback, cherry pie and de stempelwinkel.

We're very much looking forward to your doubtless gorgeous entries. To get inspired please hop over to the FwATCs blog and have a look at the stunning ATCs my fellow DT members came up with.
Have fun!

I'm also entering this into the newly launched 'left of center' challenge, where anything goes as long as it is for example gothic:-) for further details and rules you can have a look at their blog.

Thank you ever so  much for having a look.

Vintage - Fun with ATCs challenge #82

this fortnight we ask you to create vintage themed ATCs over at the FwATCs challenge blog.
Last time we had lots and lots of gorgeous entries of you and we hope you'll join us again.

Sorry, I'm a bit late due to some health issues but here's my ATC:

The background is made with the wrinkle free distress technique (victorian velvet and vintage photo) and the stamp images are by indigo blu, paper artsy/hot picks and graphic 45. I gave them a little bit of color with neocolor II water-soluble pastels.

We're very much looking forward to your entries. To get inspired you can hop over and have a look at the fab pieces of my fellow DT members.

Thanks for visiting.

red - challenge #81 at FwATCs

It's the 81st challenge over at FwATCs and we want to see something red. Whether you make your ATC completely red or use a red embellishment/s of some kind or whatever else ... it's totally up to you.

The first one was meant to turn out completely different. I used red embossing powder on this but it was rather pinkish in the end. Then I stamped the little demon and the hearts on tissue paper and it grew even more pink when I glued it down ... :-(
I tried to 'patch' it a litte bit by letting red ecoline colour soak under the tissue paper on the edges ...

Here I cut the heart and crown from the T.H. die hearts and wings. Then they were adhered on some cardstock together with letters from foam rubber, painted over with red acrylic paint. Finally I stamped over it with a background stamp.

Please hop over to the Fun with ATCs challenge blog to have a look at the wonderful and creative ATCs the other DT members made. We're looking forward to seeing your artful creations there, too :-)

Thanks for looking,

flourishes for the Fun with ATCs challenge #80

Another fortnight went by and it's time for a new challenge over at Fun with ATCs - this time it's flourishes.
This is what I made:

I pondered on that for a very long time since I usually don't use flourishes and I only have a little plate with clearstamps which nearly had slipped my memory, at the very bottom of a box.
The background was made with distress stains broken china, brushed pewter and salty ocean, then the flourish was embossed with frantage embossing enamel aged silver and a few crumbs of aged black were strewn around it. The flower was die cut with the T.H. tattered florals die and a chipboard button was added. Finally I glued down a little wooden butterfly, colored with ds spiced marmelade and fired brick, the edges were swiped a little with black soot.

So, now it's your turn. We are looking forward to the wonderful little artworks you'll come up with. Please hop over to FwATCs and have a look at the beautiful ATCs my fellow DT members made and get inspired to create your own.

Thanks for looking.

Fun with ATC Challenge #79 - Third Birthday/celebration --- and a surprise for you

This time we're celebrating the third birthday of the Fun with ATCs challenge blog with a blog hop and as a surprise and a 'thank you' for all of you participants we have - thanks to the generosity of the sponsors - some great prizes to win for those who enter an ATC and comment on all of the blogs of the DT members :-)
The winners will be drawn randomly.

If you're here and visiting me you probably started hopping on the main page of the challenge

Fun with ATCs Challenge
via
Irit
and
Claudia

and are now coming from Mark

So here is my ATC

A scrap of another Gelli Plate background.
I adhered some masking tape on a piece of cardstock to color it with/on the plate. After pulling it off I decided to use a scrap of the cardstock as a background for my ATC, swiped some DI onto it and stamped the Tim Holtz circles with distress ink, too. Afterwards I added some pieces of the so colored masking tape.
Other stamps are by inkadinkado.

So now please take the time and visit my fellow DT members' blogs to have a look at their gorgeous and stunning ATCs:

Uta
Alison
Caro

and last but not least please have a thorough look around the pages of our generous sponsors who will provide some of their stunning stuff for you to win - there's plenty of great stuff to discover:

Tando Creative

Visible Image

and

100 Proof Press

Edit:
I ordered a few stamps by 100 proof press at the beginning of January and I've had the most positive experience with them; they have an excellent customer service and are very generous. Great shop! And great stamps of course. Can't wait to use them.
I think the next order won't have to wait that long :-)

Now have loads of fun with the challenge and good luck to all of you!
